dr. Joseph Gelsi started his optometric practice in 1954 here in dobbs ferry, new york. we here at terri optics continue his legacy.  His eldest daughter, teresa gelsi, a New York state licensed optician, owns and operates terri optics.

at terri optics WE are proud to serve the  eye health, vision and eyewear needs of the community in  a friendly,  PROFESSIONAL, fashion-forward and PROGRESSIVE environment.

In 2005,  Terri Optics, with the help of Debra Riser, architect and designer, took the business to another level.  We completely renovated, reconfigured and transformed the old space to a bright, roomy eyewear gallery.  The feel and selection says, "New York City," but we're right here in Westchester!  To better serve you, new eyewear collections have been added. We always apply our unique approach to the eyewear styling process. 

The renovation addressed the issues of HIPPA and ADA compliance. In addition to our handicap lift we added more parking.  Both the lift and the parking are located around the back of the building.

We moved into our new home  on November 11, 2005.  All that come to our updated  space love it. They often comment on our unique blend of modern gallery concept, while retaining some of the charming elements of the original structure.
